Williamsburg United Methodist Church holds new youth ministry programs

The Williamsburg United Methodist Church held several new youth ministry projects this summer.

Young adults had the opportunity to participate in renew Youth Ministry outreach events. During the summer, middle and high school students took part in week-long mission trips that included all-inclusive mission-camps with work-site projects and programming.

Middle school students participated in a pilot program focusing on urban ministry in Richmond during the week of June 24-30.

High school students that are a part of the reNEW Mission Task Force traveled to Zimbabwe, Africa from July 12-25. The group is living and working in connection with the global United Methodist Church through Africa University, the Old Mutare Mission and United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM). The two-week trip includes a holiday to Victoria Falls or Antelope Park Game Reserve.
