Williamsburg Regional Library releases Aug. 15-19 program schedule
Williamsburg Regional Library will offer various events for children and adults from Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 19.
A basic computer class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 15 in room B of the library. Attendees will learn about the parts of a computer, practice using a mouse and become familiar with the Windows system.
Baby Time, a story time for children 2 years old and younger, will be held at James City County Library at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15. The Early Childhood Music School will be a guest presenter at the event.
Rainbow Puppet Productions will present Creature Show at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 in the Williamsburg Library theater.
The Williamsburg Library theater will feature the 1960 film "Can-Can" starring Shirley MacLaine and Frank Sinatra at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.
The Virginia Living Museum will present Mammal Mania at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 in James City County Library.
A basic Excel class will be held in room B of the Williamsburg Library from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. Attendees will learn how to use the spreadsheet program Microsoft Excel 2007 to sort and manage information, as well as creating and executing mathematical formulas.
An iPad for Newbies class will be held from in the Cosby room of James City County Library from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.
Sam Fletcher will present The World of Tin Soldiers at 7 p.m. in the Schell Room of Williamsburg Library Thursday, Aug. 16.
Manga drawing classes for children ages 11 and older will be offered at 10:30 a.m. in Williamsburg Library's Schell room and at 2 p.m. in James City County Library's Kitzinger community room Saturday, Aug. 18. Attendees will learn how to draw and create manga comics.
Paws to Read will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 in the Schell room of Williamsburg Library. Attendees will be able to read or share a story with a therapy dog from K-9 Connection.
Registration is only required for the basic computer class, the basic Excel class, iPad for Newbies and manga drawing classes.
