EVMA hosts women-only mountain bike ride Sept. 1
The Eastern Virginia Mountain Bike Association is hosting a mountain bike ride for women from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at Freedom Park.
Participants will learn the park's 20-mile trail system, learn mountain biking basics and meet fellow female riders from the area, according to the event website.
The ride is free and open to women of all ages and experience levels. Participants must bring their own bikes and helmets. Water bottles or hydration packs are also encouraged.
Riders will meet outside the Freedom Park Interpretive Center, located at 5537 Centerville Road.
