Williamsburg SCORE elects new chairman

The Williamsburg Chapter of SCORE, a small business coaching organization, recently elected Al Cioppa Jr. as its new chairman.

Cioppa, in preparation for the position, attended the National SCORE Leadership Conference, held in New Orleans.

The Williamsburg Chapter of SCORE was established in 1985 and has served the local business community for more than 27 years, according to a press release.

The organization provides mentoring and coaching to small businesses and has 400 chapters throughout the United States. SCORE provides a variety of business seminars for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners, according to the SCORE website.

SCORE is also a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The Williamsburg Chapter is at 421 N. Boundary St., Williamsburg.
