Butler University welcomes Williamsburg native legacy student
Emily Barth is among Butler University's newest generation of legacies.
Butler University welcomed its largest freshman class in history this year with 1,111 new students, according to a school press release. 152 of those are Butler legacies, including Emily Barth, a resident of Williamsburg.
A legacy includes anyone whose grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles or cousins attended the university. Butler has built a tradition for legacies on campus that includes scholarship opportunities and special welcome week activities.
Butler University is a nationally recognized comprehensive university that blends liberal arts with pre-professional programs. It has over 4,600 undergraduate and graduate students in six academic colleges.
