James City County Board of Supervisors approve grants at Oct. 23 meeting

The Board of Supervisors Meeting of the James City County met on Oct. 23 in the Government Center Board Room.

The grant awards for Radiological Emergency Preparedness for $25,000 and for Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant for Jamestown Beach Park for $152,049 were both approved with a 5-0 vote.

Public Hearings were held regarding Williamsburg Pottery's Proffer Violation Appeal and Greensprings Mobile Home Park Sanitary Sewer Force Main Extension.

Board Considerations discussed include Olde Towne Timeshares Multiuse Trail, Forest Heights Neighborhood Improvement Project, power line conversion, authorization for the County Administrator to contract with George Nice and Sons, Inc. to Construct Forest Heights and Benefit Roads, Mooretown Road Extension Study and an Ordinance Amendment to Chapter 2, Administration, Section 2-3, for the designation, population and election cycle of districts.

The next scheduled meeting is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
