James City County Service Authority awards contracts at Oct. 23 meeting

The Service Authority of the James City County met on Oct. 23 in the Government Center Board Room.

Contracts were awarded for manhole and wet well rehabilitation and related services to Lyttle Utilities Inc. and ACTS Group LLC. The contract for Indigo Dam Road, Jamestown Road and Lake Drive Water Main Improvement Projects was awarded to Henry S. Branscome LLC, the lowest bidder, for $673,290.

The Service Authority approved the use of a  wellhead protection grant from Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and Virginia Department of Health for $15,000.

A public hearing was held on the authorization of conveyance of James City Service Authority property at 5255 Longhill Road.

The board also authorized to retire 2003 Bond Debt from the fund balance.

The next scheduled meeting is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
